How To Change Your Desktop Wallpaper

How to Change Your Desktop Wallpaper

A lot of people think it is important to customize your belongings to make it seem like it really belongs to you. One way to do this is by changing the wallpaper on your Apple computer.

So first things first, you need to open your System Preferences. It will either be in you dock or you can search for it using spotlight search. For this example, I will be using it from the dock.

Once you open it, it should look like this…

The next thing you will want to do is go to where it says Desktop & Screen Saver. After you click on it, it will look like this…

Then you can look through the folders and pic a picture for your wallpaper. You can also import your own image to use as a wallpaper. Some of the settings you can set the wallpaper to do is to change the picture every 5 seconds, minute, every 5 minutes, etc.

Another thing that you can customize from this is your screensaver. Towards the top of the window, you should see an option that says Screen Saver. When you click on this the window will change to look like this…

From here, you can change the settings for your screensaver along with how long it takes for it to start up and if you want it to show a clock.

So that is how to change your desktop wallpaper and screensaver. If you have any questions please email me personally at sarahdoyle@rsu57.org or techhelpdesk@rsu57.org
